What type of deposit is required to hold my rental?
A $500 deposit is required upon reserving your pontoon for the date you selected. We have a 14-day cancellation period where your deposit, less $50, will be refunded. Deposits are nonrefundable if cancelled after 14 days.
Who can drive?
All drivers must be 21 years or older and provide a valid driver’s license.
What are my rental times?
We will drop off at 9 a.m. and pick up at 6 p.m.
Is there a damage deposit?
Your $500 reservation deposit will be held to cover potential damage to the pontoon or motor. This will be promptly refunded upon inspection at the end of your rental as long as no damage is done to the boat.
What about delivery and gas?
Delivery is a flat $100 fee. The boat will be delivered filled with fuel; renter is responsible to return the boat with a full tank of gas or will be charged accordingly.
What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my rental?
Sunset Pontoon Rentals is not responsible for bad weather, we will however try to reschedule your rental to the next available date.
Can I tube behind the pontoon?
Tubing is allowed on the Trifecta Tri-toon and the Sweetwater Pontoon. Tubing is not allowed on the Bennington due to the engine size.
What lakes do you rent on?
Magician, Dewey, Round, Big Crooked, Little Crooked, Indian, Pipestone, Big Twin, Little Twin, Keeler, Little Paw Paw, Big Paw Paw, Eagle Lake, Lake Chapin and other surrounding Lakes in Van Buren County, Berrien County and Cass County.

Who should I contact if I would like to schedule?
Krin at (269)599-2172. You can check availability of the pontoon, but you cannot schedule
on our website.
Can I smoke on the pontoon?
Smoking and fireworks are not allowed on the pontoon.
Are life jackets supplied?
Coast guard approved orange life jackets are supplied. If you have smaller children, it is recommended you supply your own or contact us in advance with sizes needed and we will try and accommodate.
Do I need to be on water to keep the pontoon overnight?
Yes, you must be on waterfront property in order to properly secure the pontoon. You must either have a pier or ability to beach the boat in order to rent from us.
